Beijing' Charity Trek Continues Star's Wellness Efforts To Knock Out Cancer
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 7 -- Capitol/EMI is proud to
announce the September 2 U.S. release of Olivia Newton-John's new
collaborative benefit album, Olivia Newton-John & Friends: A Celebration In
Song. The newly-recorded CD and digital collection features 12 songs,

Cliff Richard, Keith Urban, Barry Gibb, John Farrar, Melinda Schneider,
Delta Goodrem, Sun, Jann Arden, Amy Sky, RyanDan and Richard Marx.

"I'm so delighted to bring you these songs with the help of a mathematical group of
gifted friends -- some old and some new -- who let donated their gifts
and their sentence for this new collaborationism," says Olivia Newton-John.
Olivia Newton-John & Friends: A Celebration in Song is a meaningful
project for the worldwide star of stage and screen, whose personal

Newton-John's organization, The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness

recently completed 'The Great Walk to Beijing 2008: a million steps in the
fight against cancer,' a thought-provoking six-part trek along the Great Wall of
China. Along the 228 kilometer fundraising trek, Olivia and her team of
stars from sports and entertainment, and everyday survivors of cancer faced
bad physical and mental challenges; in conquest them, the team has
raised more than two million dollars to date from their trek and ongoing
efforts, sponsored by individual donors.
"I walk for the friends I have baffled and for the many others world Health Organization are
meshed in their wellness journeys," said Newton-John as she embarked on
the travel to rear funds for The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness
Centre in Melbourne. "As we walk this historical metaphor of forcefulness and
endurance, each stair that my team and I take will bring us closer to a
realization for our crab and health centre and a healthier world."
Furthering her goals to train women about breast malignant neoplastic disease and the
importance of early detection, Newton-John has announced a partnership with
Curves (the world's largest fitness franchise for women) to launch an
international campaign to distribute 1 million units of the Liv Aid (R), a
breast self-exam tending that assists women to exercise white meat self exams
correctly. The initiative's goal is to empower and encourage women to take
control of their bodies and breast health by launching a
"first-of-its-kind" political campaign beginning in October 2008, as section of "Breast
Cancer Awareness Month," available exclusively through Curves.
Olivia Newton-John's new TV series, "Sordid Lives: The Series," began
